Ravinder Gosain Case: Special NIA Court Sends Shera, Bagga and Pahar Singh to Judicial Custody

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar/Mohali: The Special NIA court here today sent Hardeep Singh Shera, Ramandeep Singh Bagga and Pahar Singh to judicial custody. Trio, who were under the custody of India’s National Investigation Agency under NIA case RC-18/2017/NIA/DLI were presented before the NIA court of Additional Sessions Judge 1 (ASJ1) Anshul Berry.

Ramndeep Singh Bagga and Hardeep Singh Shera were arrested last month by the Punjab police. NIA had later secured their custody as investigation of case related to killing of RSS activist Ravinder Gosain (FIR No. 442/2017, PS Basti Jodhewal, dated 17.10.2017) was taken over by the NIA.

Pahar Singh was reportedly arrested by NIA from Meerut.

Defence council Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur said that the NIA did not sought extension of their police remand and the court committed them to judicial custody and ordered to sent trio to Maximum Security Jail, Nabha.

He, however, added that the Khanna police has arrived at the NIA court in Mohali to security their custody in some other case.
