Ludhiana: Renowned Punjabi poet Dr. Sujeet Paatar, aged 79, breathed his last today at his residence on Barewal Road in Ludhiana. Born on January 14, 1945, in Patar Kalan village of Jalandhar, Dr. Paatar left an noteworthy mark on Punjabi literature and academia. He pursued his academic journey with zeal, obtaining his master’s degree in Punjabi from Punjabi University, Patiala, and later his PhD from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. He had joined the academic profession and retired as a professor from Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana.
