Why should we resign? It is all a drama created by Congress: Sukhbir Badal on SYL issue

Adampur, Jalandhar: While commenting on the Satluj Yamuna Link (SYL) canal issue, Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal said, “Why should we run away?, This entire resignation drama has been created by the Congress party. Ask them that after one month, they would not remain MLAs anyways so why do this drama now?,”. He emphasised that irrespective of any decision, they would not let anyone to take away even a single drop of water from Punjab.

While speaking to media persons, Sukhbir Badal alleged that the SYL issue has been a sole creation of Indira Gandhi. He said at the time when the construction of SYL canal started, Capt Amarinder Singh had welcomed it. He said if Capt Amarinder Singh as well as all Congress MLAs are so empathetic and sincere towards Punjab, they should first resign from the Congress, which is responsible for this issue. He said “if they resign from the Congress, then SAD will welcome it”.
