Srinagar: As per the media reports emanating from Kashmir valley Sabzar Bhat a close aide and the successor of Hizbul-Mujaheedin commander Burhan Wani on last Friday (27th May) was shot dead by the Indian security forces in Pulwama’s Tral.
Sabzar Ahmad Bhat is widely known for succeeding Burhan Wani, whose killing last year sparked months-long unrest and violence in Kashmir.
Apart from Sabzar Bhat, two more militants have been killed and at least one is believed to be trapped in the area under barrage of heavy fire from the Indian security forces, media reports said.
The encounter has been going on since Friday night after Hizbul militants ambushed an Army patrol party of 42 Rashtriya Rifles at Saimooh village in Tral around 9pm, reads a quote published in India Today.
Meanwhile, sporadic incidents of stone-pelting in various parts of the Valley are being reported by the local print.
