SADA Canada calls for a thorough inquiry of bombing Air India Flight 182

Ontario, Canada: Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Canada) has expressed solidarity with the families of Victims of Air Indian Flight 182 bombing.
A press release issued by Sukhminder Singh Hansa, reads as follows:
Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Canada) stands in solidarity with the families of Victims of Air Indian Flight 182 bombing. 30 years have gone by; the Canadian investigation has failed to bring perpetrators to justice. The Government of Canada continues to ignore repeated calls from Canadian Sikh organizations to put in place a Royal commission to get to the bottom of this crime.
Today RCMP claims that the investigation is ongoing, even after a very lengthy inquiry by Justice John Major was done. It was not thorough.
Today as we reflect on this horrific event and the senseless loss of lives, it leaves us to believe that the Government of Canada is least interested in finding out the perpetrators of Air India Flight 182.
A book written by two renowned journalists Zuhair Kashmeri from Globe and Mail and Brian McAndrew from Toronto Star revealed enough information on the case. It clearly stated that the crime was conspired by the Indian Government, yet the Canadian Investigation RCMP and CSIS played cat & mouse with the evidence.
Today, Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Canada) calls for a thorough inquiry with a Judge appointed with the appropriate power to bring justice.
Even after 30 years, not knowing the facts, the news stories continue to use terms as such “Authorities believe Sikh extremists fighting for an independent homeland sabotaged the Boeing 747, which crashed into the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Ireland” is making mockery of our investigation ability.
