“The process of Indian nation building was started in the colonial era of late nineteenth century. Various organisations and organ of establishment involved in the process of Indian nation building have done and doing everything in their power to build Hindi as national language of the sub-continent”, it reads further.

According to the Samvad, this seminar would present related facts & figures and explore the conditions of languages of the sub-continent in the process of nation building. How languages of the sub-continent developed and diminished in the process of nation building in India? What was and will be the fate of dialects? How many languages are dead and dying in this process and what are causes of this? Are languages and dialects enjoying language rights in India?
