Senior Sikh journalist Karamjeet Singh bereaved; Wife passed away

Chandigarh: Senior Journalist S. Karamjit Singh was bereaved today as his wife, Bibi Amrit Kaur, passed away this morning after a long illness. He was 66 years old and is survived by her husband and two daughters.

The Antim Sanskar of Bibi Amrit Kaur was held at sector 25 cremation ground in Chandigarh. The Antim Sanskar was attended by various Sikh personalities, besides politicians, religious leaders, social activists, journalists and family relatives.

The Antim Ardas will be held on 19 May at Gurdwara Bagh Shaheedan, sector 44, Chandigarh.

S. Karamjit Singh has retired as assistant editor of Punjabi Tribune. He is co-editor of book “Panthic Dastawej”, a compilation of various documents related to the Sikh militant struggle in Punjab during 1980s-90s.
