Amritsar Sahib: As per the media reports the General House election of the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) to elect its respective office bearers is likely to be held in the end of November. The SGPC has called a meeting of its executive on November 6. The executive will further convene the General House meeting.

Of the 190 members of the House, 170 are elected, 15 nominated and the rest are the Jathedars of Takhats. Members of the present House were elected in 2011. Incumbent chief Kirpal Singh Badungar had replaced Avtar Singh Makkar last year.
