Amritsar, Punjab: A day after newspapers highlighted SGPC move to restrict media entry at it’s amritsar based headquarters, the Sikh body reportedly lifted the restrictions. The noticed placed by SGPC at a noticed board outside Teja Singh Samundari Hall had stated that no media persons were allowed at SGPC office without prior permission of SGPC official Daljit Singh Bedi.
“Nobody from the media will enter the premises until invited by the SGPC. If any mediaperson has some important work, he should first contact SGPC additional secretary Diljeet Singh Bedi and meet him at his office only. For this, the mediaperson will also have to make an entry at the entrance”, the notice (in Gurmukhi) read.
In this statement SGPC spokesperson Diljeet Singh Bedi said Makkar has also issued orders to take off the notice put up on the SGPC notice board.
