Shaheedi Samagam Held in the Memory of Shaheed Bakhshish Singh Malowal

Amritsar: Shaheed Bakhshish Singh Malowal was a close confident of Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale. He was responsible for/incharge of security of Sant Jarnail Singh Ji.
He fought invader Indian forces during June 1984 Ghallughara and attained martyrdom along side Sant Jarnail Singh Ji at Akal Takht Sahib.
Great personalities of Kharku Sangharsh like Bhai Harjinder Singh Jinda, General Labh Singh, Bhai Manbir Singh Chaheru, Bhai Sukhwinder Singh Shindu alias K. C. Sharma used to mention Bhai Bakhshish Singh’s name with great respect.
It is the will (bhana) of the Guru Sahib that such a great personality largely remains unknown in wider Panthic circles. Last year the Shaheed family and villegers of Malowal village held a Shaheedi samagam in the memory of Bhai Bakhshish Singh for the first time. This year 2nd Shaheedi Samagam was held on 7 June 2023.
Speaking on this occasion Bhai Daljit Singh Bittu said Shaheeds are our heritage. We must remember them and make them our source of inspiration.
