Chandigarh/ Punjab (April 23, 2014): According to media reports Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Mann) secretary general Jaswant Singh Mann released the election manifesto of the party for the parliamentary polls.
The manifesto was reportedly released on April 22 in the absence of party president Simranjeet Singh Mann who is contesting from Khadoor Sahib Lok Sabha seat.
According to Hindustan Times (HT): Khalistan remains on the party agenda.
Other issues include launching the Gurdwara Sudhar lehar and adopting social justice.
Mann Dal is contesting 10 of the 13 seats in Punjab.
According to The Tribune (TT) Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Mann) favoured a ban on the sale of all kinds of intoxicants. It stoof for administrative reforms and for curtailing expenditure. The manifesto promised better family welfare schemes, A-grade health services and free treatment to the poor.
