“Founder President of Sikh Foundation, Switzerland , Karan Singh told TOI over phone from Langenthal on Wednesday that they were organizing Justice Rally to save life of Bhullar. “Meetings have been organized with the Special Rapportors of commission against torture”, the report reads further.

The organizers of protest are expecting more than thousand Sikhs to arrive from all over Europe to participate in the protest.

As per inforamtion many Human Rights Organizations and Sikh organizations from Europe have extended their support to the protest to be held on April 25.

It is further learnt that the Movement Against Atrocities and Repression (MAAR) shall be organizing this protest.

Some of the organizations participating in the rally includes Sikhs for Justice , Sikh Federation UK , Sikh Federation Germany, Babbar Khalsa Sikh Council Italy, representatives of all Gurdwara’s from Italy , Khalsa Human Rights. Besides this several prominent Swiss nationals and human right activists would be joining the protest.

Karan Singh, Founder President of Sikh Foundation, Switzerland , wondered that despite sufficient proof of Prof. Bhullar’s innocence he was sentenced to death which was unfortunate and would only make Sikhs feel alienate in India. He said they were also trying to get in touch with mother of Bhullar , Upkar Kaur , a US citizen , and would try to bring her to Switzerland to join the procession.

Notably German ambassador in Canada had already announced to pursue the case of Bhullar at highest level in India while Bhullar’s wife had already contacted German embassy and Canadian High Commission in New Delhi seeking their support to commute death sentence of her husband in to life imprisonment.

“We all are trying , hope our efforts yield desirable results and our prayers are answered “said Navneet Kaur.
