Sikh body, Dal Khalsa, mourns the Death of Nelson Mandela

Amritsar, Punjab (December 06, 2013): Deeply saddened to learn of South Africa’s inspirational freedom fighter Nelson Mandela’s death, the Dal Khalsa pays respect and tribute to the departed soul.

Praising Mandela’s personal modesty and moral courage, who changed the course of history in his country, Dal Khalsa secretary for political affairs Kanwar Pal Singh said members of their group takes inspiration from the work of the veteran leader and admires his knowledge, wisdom and statesmanship.

He said through his good works and example, Mandela will always remain an inspiration for young and old around the world, especially who aspire for their rights and freedoms.

Terming him as a “master tactician” and “world’s greatest moral leader”, he hailed the founding father of nonracial democratic South Africa, who is credited with delivering “freedom to born slaves”. Defining his one of the rarest leadership quality, he said, “Mandela liberated a country from a system of violent prejudice and helped unite white and black, oppressor and oppressed, in a way that had never been done before”.
