Gurdaspur, Punjab: Strongly condemning the attack on a school in Peshawar in which at least 132 kids were slaughtered, Dal Khalsa said there is never a justification for such killings and must condemned by all.
No words are strong enough to condemn what can be described as the heinous crime against humanity in which more than 132 students of the Army Public School in Peshawar in Pakistan were killed by the Taliban, said Kanwar Pal Singh in a condolence message to all the family members of those who lost their dear ones. This is sheer barbarism. Our heart goes out to the affected families & the people of Pakistan, said he and added that the members of their group hope the almighty gives them the courage and fortitude to bear their irreparable loss.
Massacare of 132 students in Peshwar is sheer barbarism, says Kanwar Pal Singh
Dal Khalsa leader was lin town to attend the function organized to pay homage to Bhai Sukhdev Singh of Ballagan village near Gurdaspur. Sukhdev was picked up by Gurdaspur police in 1992 and killed in a fake encounter. The ceremony was organized by his family members to mark his 22nd death anniversary.
Terming it utterly non-sense the justification given by the Taliban in Pakistan for killing the innocent school children, he said no group of fighters rooted in any religious doctrine can justify these killings as no religion sanction such retaliations.
In a statement to media, he said its harsh fact that security forces all over the world are prone to committing excesses and rights violations against the innocents in their anti-militants operations, including in India.
“State is considered to be brutal and dehumanised. Rather the excesses by the security forces are known to have created more militants. We have numerous examples in Punjab too. However, killings of school children in retaliation was no way justified rather its highly deplorable.
