Kot Isse Khan (Moga): To commemorate the 32nd anniversary of “operation Blue Star”, the Dal Khalsa will take out a Genocide Remembrance March on the streets of Amritsar on June 3- the day assault was launched.

Announcing the decision at a press conference here today, party’s senior leader Kanwar Pal Singh said the pain of the deadly attack was fresh and the wounds of the attack still simmer.

He said the young activists associated with the organization carrying saffron flags and placards would march on major lanes of holy city on 3rd evening . He said the march would culminate at Akal Takhat where they would pay homage to martyrs of faith. He was accompanied by senior activists Baldev Singh Sirsa and Surjit Singh. Earlier, they addressed the gathering of party workers and supporters from the Moga region to mobilize sangat for the March.

To a question on on-going feud between two Sikh preachers, he said the internecine feud between Baba Harnam Singh Khalsa and Bhai Ranjit Singh Dhadrianwale has set the alarm bells ringing. It will have dangerous ramifications for the community.

He was of the view that Bhai Dhadrianwale’s video ridiculing Baba Dhumma was bad. Similarly, the violent repercussion by Baba Dhumma’s followers is worst.

On Jathedar Akal Takhat’s initiative to defuse the tension, he said the disgraced Gaini Gurbachan Singh has lost trust and credibility. He said we don’t expect any good for the community from Gaini Gurbachan Singh as he has been rejected by large section of the Sikh Panth. He said the ruling elite was playing politics on the issue while adopting double standards. He said Akalis were counting which side has more votes.

Hailing the Ludhiana court decision acquitting Sikh radical leader Daljit Singh from 2012 old case under the draconian Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, 1967, the Dal Khalsa leaders slammed Deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal for misusing the police machinery to stifle the voice and jeopardise the political career of Daljit Singh by implicating him in totally false case under flimsy charges.
