New Delhi, India (July 29, 2013): It is learnt that the Sikh genocide survivor and witness against Sajjan Kumar, Bibi Bhagwani, died on 27 July, 2013 in wait of justice for her two sons killed in November 1984.
Two of Bibi Bhagwani’s sons Hoshiar Singh (21) and Mohan Singh (18) were reduced to ashes along with her house located in Sultanpuri area of Delhi in November 1984 at the instance of Indian politician Sajjan Kumar, who was one of the main perpetrators of the Sikh genocide 1984.
Bibi Bhagwani waited for 29 years to see the Indian courts doing justice in the case of cold blooded murder of her sons, her wait did not ended while her life ended on July 27, 2013. It must be noted that no trial against Sajjan Kumar has taken place in this case during last 29 years.
It is worth mentioning that thousands of Sikhs were massacred during the first week of November 1984 in Delhi and elsewhere in India. The killings of Sikhs were carried out in form of different massacres, that were part of a wider plan of genocide of Sikhs.
Indian state system did not only suffered the failure to deliver justice to the victims and try/punish the culprits; rather it patronized and rewarded the culprits with political seats.
