Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir police have reportedly detained Advo. Harpal Singh Cheema (Akali Dal Panch Pardhani) and S. Kanwar Pal Singh and Dr. Manjinder Singh Jandi of Dal Khalsa in Srinagar. These Sikh leaders were in Srinagar to participate in a Seminar being organized by All Party Hurriyat Conference led by SAS Geelani. The theme of seminar was “How to Resist the Indian State Fascism”.

Source told Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) that Sikh leaders were initially detained by Srinagar police in Grand Rayan Hotel in Hyderpora Chowk. Later they were shifted to Srinagar’s Sadar Police station by the police.

It is notable that pro-freedom Kashmiri leader SAS Geelani had invited representatives of pro-freedom Sikh organisations to attend the seminar.

More details were awaited at the time of writing this news.

Update: Arrested leaders were reportedly released in the afternoon, after the scheduled time for the seminar ended.
