Chandigarh: Bhai Lakhwinder Singh, who is serving imprisonment for life in CM Beant Singh assassination case has been released on parole of 28 days from the Burail Jail. He was released on parole on October 30 for the second time after his arrest.

Earlier in December 2013, Bhai Lakhwinder Singh was released on parole along with Bhai Gurmeet Singh and Bhai Shamsher Singh in wake of 44 day hunger strike by Gurbakhash Singh Khalsa.
