Sikh Political Prisoner Harminder Singh Mintto Acquitted In Hawala Case

Patiala: As per the media reports Sikh political prisoner Harminder Singh Mintto accused  in the 2010 hawala case for planting bomb at the Nabha LPG bottling plant, here on Wednesday  has been acquitted by the local district court.

He was facing two cases registered against him at Sadar police station, in May this year he was acquitted in the bomb planting case by a local court and the second was pertaining to Hawala money for the same mission.

Even after getting clean chit in these aforesaid cases Harminder Singh Minto is still subsequently facing 11 other cases across Punjab. He was arrested from Delhi airport in 2014 after he reportedly returned from Malaysia where he supposedly set up a module to gather support for the pro-freedom cause.

A native of Dalli village in Jalandhar district, he continued to dodged the security agencies until he was apprehended in 2014  on his return from Thailand, reports The Tribune (TT).
