Patiala/ Ludhiana: Sikh political prisoner Makhan Singh Gill was released from Maximum Security Jail, Nabha today. He was acquitted by Punjab and Haryana High Court on February 03 in CRA-S 691-SB of 2014. Notably, after Makhan Singh Gill’s release was suspiciously delayed by the jail authorities, his counsel Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur had written a letter to the Punjab and Haryana High Court raising his apprehensions that Makhan Singh Gill may be implicated in some false case.
Makhan Singh Gill released from Nabha Jail
Advo. Jaspal Singh Manjhpur informed Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) that Makhan Singh Gill was released from jail today (Wed., Feb. 08). He said he was constantly pressing the jail authorities to release Makhan Singh Gill as per the High Court order but his release was delayed by the jail administration for few days at the pretext of technical grounds.
