Sikh Sangat Prevents Demolition of Historic Darshani Deodi of Tarn Taran Sahib

Tarn Taran/ Chandigarh: Alertness on the parts of local Sikh sangat prevented the demolition of historic Darshani Deodi of Darbar Sahib, Tarn Taran Sahib.
Baba Jagtar Singh led Kar Sewa was about to begin the demolition of two centuries old Darshani Deodi with the permissions of the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee (SGPC) when the Sikh Sangat objected to the move.

Sikh sangat pointed that the Darshani Deodi had historical significance as it was built during the era of Sikh Raj by Kanwar Naunihal Singh.
The SGPC chief secretary Roop Singh said that the Kar Sewa was postponed after objections from the Sikh Sangat.
