California: A 17-year-old Sikh boy was found shot dead in the garage of his California home last week, prompting police to launch an investigation.

All I heard was a gunshot and then after that, there was like somebody crying and then police came, their petrified neighbour Emily Thao was seen speaking to the NBC Sacramento.

“We cannot imagine it. We are lost,” Gurnoor’s uncle Tejinderjit Singh was quoted as saying by the CBS Local News. Nahal’s grandmother found him lying in the garage. She said he cried for help, but it was too late.

Diya TV a local televison channel was reporting that the family of the victim was of the notion that Gurnoor was followed home from work and that the shooter may have been after the cash collected from the family business that day,But the money was never taken.

Alleging it as a Hate Crime President of the North American Punjabi Association,Satnam Singh Chahal while talking to HT said  “We had apprehended that with Donald Trump’s victory to the top post of US President such cases would increase. It is very unfortunate that Sikh children are being targeted. Our organisation will follow up the matter with police and other law enforcement agencies.”
