Sikh Research Institute’s upcoming webinar on Fascinating Folktales of Punjab on August 27, 2016.

Gurmeet Kaur has revived the dying oral tradition of Baataa(n) or Punjabi folktales that have been handed down to us from generation to generation by bringing them alive in the form of beautifully illustrated books.

Since 2013, she has brought to you a set of 8, first ever bilingual folktale books that are beautifully illustrated to the hands of children in the diaspora, creating a new excitement in Punjabi literacy for children. These books have connected thousands of children, parents and grandparents to each other, to their Maa Boli and to the land of Panjab while teaching them good values in a playful way.
