Amritsar/ Chandigarh: The current station is reportedly tense at Harike Pattan where hundreds of Sikhs have been holding a morcha demanding restoration of Akal Takhat Sahib Panj Pyare who were suspended by SGPC chief Avtar Singh Makkar. The morcha had started after beadbi of Guru Granth Sahib at Bargari village. The Sikh protesters had previously raised five demanding including arrest of persons responsible for beadbi of Guru Granth Sahib and registration of murder case against police officers and personnel involved in firing on Sikhs at Behbal Kalan village.

In wake of recent developments the protesters have limited their demands and said that if Panj Pyare of Akal Takhat Sahib would order them to lift the morcha they will abide by the ordered, but their condition is that first the suspension of the Panj Pyaras should be revoke.
