Hoshiarpur, Punjab (January 8, 2014): Reiterating his party’s demand for judicial commission to look into the global drug racket, H S Dhami, president of Dal Khalsa, said what arrested drug lord Jagdish Bhola has said about the so-called involvement of NRI affairs minister Bikramjit Singh Majithia in the drug trafficking, was a matter of serious concern that requires urgent probe by sitting Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
People ought to know, whether the allegations are fake or true, said he. “Parkash Singh Badal should shun his old habit of “shutting eyes on controversial issues” and wake up to the demand of the masses”, said he and added that Badal’s stoic silence was sending wrong message.
“It’s not only Bhola, who was pointing finger towards Majithia but the former intelligence chief DGP (retd) Shashi Kant too had blamed Majithia for patronizing drug mafia. We understand that Akali Dal president Sukhbir Badal can easily downplay Bhola’s confession by terming it deep-rooted conspiracy and after-thought. However, Sukhbir could not simply ignore what Kant has been revealing as the latter was handpicked to head the intelligence wing by Badals during their previous term.”Sukhbir must come clean as minister who’s role is under scanner is his brother-in-law”.
