Sukhpal Khaira’s Removal: Deadlock Between Aam Aadmi Party’s Central Leadership and Rebels Continues

New Delhi/ Chandigarh: Deadlock between Aam Aadmi Party’s Central leadership and rebels led by sacked Leader of Opposition in Punjab assembly Sukhpal Singh Khaira continues. The meeting between Sukhpal Singh Khaira along with his supporters and Delhi’s Deputy CM and Punjab affairs incharge Manish Sisodia remained inconclusive.

Media reports note that Manish Sisodia refused to reinstate Sukhpal Singh Khaira to LoP post. On the other hand Sukhpal Singh Khaira and his supporters to cancel their August 2 Bathinda rally.
A report in The Tribune (TT) noted that eight MLAs — Kanwar Sandhu, Pirmal Singh Dhaula, Master Baldev Singh, Nazar Singh Manshahia, Jagdev Singh Kamalu, Jagtar Singh and Rupinder Kaur Ruby besides Sukhpal Singh Khaira joined the meetings. Four others, including Jai Krishan Rodi, Manjit Singh Bilaspur, Meet Hayer and Balwant Singh, were already there, TT notes.
