Faridkot/Patiala: The District and Sessions Court of Faridkot on Monday granted bail to suspended Inspector General of Police (IGP) Paramraj Umranangal. Umranangal was arrested by the SIT on February 19 in relation to police firing on Sikh sangat during Saka Kotkapura 2015.
In his order the Sessions Judge Harpal Singh directed the release of Paramraj Umranangal from the custody subject to his furnishing a personal bond of Rs 50,000 and a surety of Rs 50,000.
In pursuance of the court order Paramraj Umranangal was released on bail this morning.
