US Sikh body welcome US Government’s support on the eve of Oak Creek Tragedy

Washington, August 3, 2013; As per a press release by Sikh Council on Religion and Education (SCORE), a copy of which is available with the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN), the Sikh community in US has welcomed the US Attorney General’s support to help those who are still suffering from the effects of the Oak Creek tragedy and appreciates the decision of the Justice Department to start tracking the hate crimes against Sikhs in the United States.

Sikhs join in the Gun Control Debate in United States and meet with Vice President Biden

Washington, United States (January 15, 2013): Dr. Rajwant Singh, Chairman of the Sikh Council on Religion and Education, was among the 12 diverse leaders, who met with Biden in a White House meeting where the Vice President called for national faith leaders to rally their faithful in the nation's debate regarding gun control in order to reduce gun violence.

Sikhs saddened by the tragic killing at Wisconsin Gurdwara

Washington (August 6, 2012): Sikh Council on Religion and Education (SCORE), has expressed shock and grief at the tragic killing of Sikhs in a shooting by a gun man which appears to be an apparent hate crime. At least seven people were shot dead, including a suspected gunman, during a shooting at a Sikh Gurdwara in Wisconsin.
