According to a written statement sent by Akali Dal Panch Pardhani, a meeting of various Sikh bodies, including political, social, religious and human rights organizations has been called at Gurudwara Sahib, Model Town, Jalandhar at 2 pm onwards to discuss the future course of action in wake of decision of Supreme Court of India clearing hanging of Professor Devender Pal Singh Bhullar.

Sikh organizations are fearing that India may attempt to hang Professor Devender Pal Singh Bhullar in secrecy as it has a history of carrying secret executions.

As per Akali Dal Panch Pardhani the case of Professor Devender Pal Singh Bhullar signifies the fact that Sikhs are slaves in India.

According to Panch Pardhani Sikhs are facing repression in India since 1947, and proposed execution of Prof. Bhullar is another major attack by Indian state on the Sikh nation.
