Chandigarh: There are reports in the media that the Centre is in touch with Punjab and Haryana governments over controversial Satluj Yamuna Link canal issue.
Central Minister for Road Transport and Highway, Shipping and Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Nitin Gadkari reportedly exuded optimism of a “solution” of the issue. He, however, would not commit on the settlement of the issue.
“I am in touch with Chief Ministers of both the states. I am hopeful of a solution,” a prominent English vernacular of the region quotes Nitin Gadkari.
