Tributes Paid to Shaheed Bhai Beant Singh at Akal Takht Sahib

Amritsar: A Shaheed Samagam was held at Akal Takht Sahib on Monday (Oct. 31) to mark the martyrdom day of Shaheed Bhai Beant Singh. Shaheed Beant Singh had laid his life to punish the Indian ruler Indira Gandhi who had ordered Amry attack at Darbar Sahib (Amritsar) in June 1984.

The annual Shaheedi Samagam was held at Gurdwara Jhanda-Bunga near Akal Takht Sahib. The Samagam was attended by representatives of various Sikh organizations and family members of Shaheeds of Sikh struggle.

Darbar Sahib head granth Giani Jagtar Singh held Ardas after the bhog of Sri Akhand Paath Sahib. Family members of martyrs of Sikh struggle for freedom were honored with Siropa by Giani Jagtar Singh.
