A view of rally after the clash
Malerkotla, Punjab (April 07, 2014): It is learnt that two groups of Shiomani Akali Dal Badal / Badal Dal workers clashed during an election rally in Malerkotla. The rally was organized on April 06 in support of party candidate from Sangrur Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa.
As per media reports members of both the groups allegedly threw chairs at each other.
The rally was reportedly to be addressed by Finance Minister Parminder Singh Dhindsa. But on learning about the clash, he did not turn up.
As per reports the police rounded up some youngsters, but later let off.
