Moga: Scottish citizen Jagtar Singh Johal alias Jaggi was presented before a local court in Bhaghapurana by Punjab police today. He was sent to judicial custody for 14 days. He has been on police remand since November 5 after being picked up by the police from Jalandhar on the proceeding day.
Jagtar Singh Johal’s counsel Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur told Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) that he was presented before the court of judicial magistrate Pushpinder Singh’s court in case FIR no. 193 of 2016 registered at Baghapurana police station.
The police did not seek further remand of Jagtar Singh Jaggi today and the court sent him to jail under judicial custody. Next court appearance of Jagtar Singh is on November 30.
Jagtar Singh’s in-laws and relatives were also present at Baghapurana court during his court appearance.
Earlier today the police presented Harminder Singh Mintoo and Dharminder Singh Gungi in the court. They were sent back to jail under judicial custody. Notably, duo were taken on police remand after bringing them out on production warrants from Maximum Security Jail Nabha.
At the time of writing this news the court appearance of Hardeep Singh Shera was awaited.
