Viral Video Lands Punjab Police in Trouble; Khanna SHO Accused of Making Nude Video of Men in Custody

Khanna: A viral video has brought more embarrassment for Punjab police, which is already struggle to make-up its fractured public image.
According to media reports, video has gone viral over social media that was allegedly made by Khanna SHO Baljinder Singh in which he had filmed three persons from Daheru village after stripping them naked. Duo were father and son, who were arrested by Khanna police about 10 months ago.
The victim, Jagpal Singh Jogi and his son Gurvir Singh were arrested along with another by Khanna police in June 2019.
Jagpal Singh Jogi, who is husband of former sarpanch of village Dahueru, told media persons that he has filed a complaint with senior police officials.

He said that he had a land dispute with another party in wake of which he along with his son and another, was arrested by Khanna police. He alleged that they were badly tortured in police custody and SHO had made their nude video.
Jagat Singh Jogi said that he has written to Punjab DGP, Punjab CM, President and Prime Minister of India seeking justice in this matter.
It is learnt that Punjab DGP Dinkar Gupta has directed the IGP Ludhiana Range to immediately carry out a fact finding enquiry into the matter.
Responding to the issue Dal Khalsa spokesperson Kanwar Pal Singh said: “DGP in a statement has reiterated zero tolerance policy of Punjab Police on such issues. The people of Punjab will wait and watch the fate of this guilty cop. Will he be dismissed, arrested and prosecuted for this inhuman & horrific act or again a compromised formula will be worked out to bury the issue, so that “the so-called morale of police doesn’t get affected ”.
