Indian state and Nepal Government have engaged in verbal duel for the past few weeks. The differences over the boundary of Indo-Nepal border on western border have been the cause of conflict. Nepal has objected to India’s opening of a new road leading to Mansarovar as it claims that the road passes through its territory. On the other hand Indian government has been attempting to underplay the issue, while maintaining that the border with Nepal is clearly settled and Nepal was acting ‘someone else’s behest’. As the area in question falls under India-China-Nepal trijuncture it is clear that by ‘someone else’ India meant China even former it did not name later. Sikh Siyasat News editor Parmjeet Singh talked to S. Ajaypal Singh Brar on this issue to get detailed information. S. Ajaypal Singh is an author and political analyst, and he writes about history and geo-political over his social media pages.
