Moga, Punjab (June 15, 2014): The politics has heat up on the issue of handing over of Chandigarh and Punjabi speaking areas to Punjab as Kuldeep Bishnoi of Haryana Janhit Congress hit back at Akali Dal by saying that they will not allow union government to hand over Chandigarh to Punjab.

While talking to media persons, Bishnoi said, “Chandigarh belongs to Haryana and we will not allow NDA government to hand over Chandigarh to Punjab while we will ask Modi government to link Satluj and Yamuna with SYL canal as Haryana has right on waters of Punjab as well”.

“We will also ask the union government to hand over Hindi speaking areas, which are in Punjab now, to Haryana. We will also request the union government to establish separate High Court for Haryana”, added Bishnoi.

Two days ago, Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal had requested home minister Rajanath Singh and Prime Minister Narendera Modi to hand over Chandigarh and Punjab speaking areas to Punjab.

As the elections in Haryana are just to be held, the various political parties of Haryana would try to catch the issue and Bishnoi has just started it.
