WKDA condemns killing of Sardar Sohanjit Singh while in police custody in Punjab, India

Ludhiana (March 21, 2011): World Kashmir Diaspora Alliance has condemned the killing of Sardar Sohanjit Singh while in custody of Punjab Police. He was arrested on the suspicion of being involved in the movement of freeing Khalistan from Indian occupation. “As such, we appeal to the world Human Rights Council and to major international rights organizations such as Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch to issue special advisories on Indian violations in Punjab to make India liable to international action on these human rights violations to ensure the rights of the people of Punjab” says the statement sent on behalf of World Kashmiri Diaspora.
