To maintain environmental and ecological balance it is necessary to keep 33% of land under trees. But only 6% of land surface of Punjab is covered by trees. Therefore adverse environmental changes are taking place in Punjab. A team of Agriculture and Environment Center visited village Jhingran Kalan to learn about experience of a local youths group that is engaged in planting and taking care of trees in order to maintain environmental and ecological balance.
