Amritsar: A train with one thousand Sikh yatris yesterday left Amritsar for Takht Patna Sahib. Sikh yatris would participate in Gurmat Samagams to be held to mark 350th Parkash Gurpurab of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Another similar train left the Patiala station later in the afternoon on Monday.

While addressing the media-persons Amritsar Deputy Commissioner Dr Basant Garag said this train would return to the Amritsar on January 7. “The entire travel, accommodation and food expenses will be borne by the government”, he added.
