Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) changes candidate from Jalandhar; Now Jyoti Mann gets ticket

Jalandhar, Punjab (April 4, 2014): Jyoti Mann, a school teacher in a private school here has been named AAP candidate from Jalandhar.

The announcement about her candidature was made at the house of party’s earlier candidate Rajesh Padam who had withdrawn himself as party candidate and announced to opt out of the electoral race.

“The party which has chosen Rajesh Badam, a Valmiki has again gone in for a person from Valmiki Community” a news reported by ‘YesPunjab’ has noted.

A 28-year old IT Graduate serving as a teacher with MKL Juneja Senior Secondary School at Deep Nagar, Jalandhar Cantt., Jyoti Mann has never been associated with any political party including AAP.

Coming from a lower middle class family, she is not even a primary member of AAP and had not attended any of the meetings of Aam Aadmi Party in Jalandhar.

Talking to reporters Jyoti Mann said that she was impressed with the policies of AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal and would work for abolition of corruption and unemployment.
