Chandigarh: Yesterday, it was for third time that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) failed to announce it’s first list of candidates for Punjab Polls 2017. Aam Aadmi Party had first declared to release the first list of candidates on May 2016. The announcement was later deferred for twice and AAP leaders had declared to release the list by the end of July. But the party could not finalise the first list of candidates even by the end of July.
Media reports say Aam Aadmi Party more than 12-15 ticket aspirants in each constituency and even after several rounds of screening AAP has multiple aspirants in most of the constituencies to be included in first list.
According to Punjabi Tribune (PT), Aam Aadmi Party is planning to field its important candidates from multiple constituencies, to cover the risk of loosing their election.
