Gurdaspur: As per the media reports two-time SGPC member and AAP candidate from the Fatehgarh Churian Assembly segment Gurvinder Singh Shampura here on Sunday joined the SAD (Badal) in the presence of party president Sukhbir Badal.

It is reported by the media sources that the negotiation between the Badal Dal and Shampura had been going on for the past several days. Sukhbir Badal had yesterday invited him to Amritsar for talks.
Gurvinder Singh Shampura had polled 15,000 votes in the Assembly elections earlier this year. He is considered a “prized catch” by the Badals. He is a former chairman of the Batala sugar mill.
