Arun Jaitley set to lose from Amritsar; Congress party’s Amrider Singh heading for victory

Amritsar, Punjab (May 16, 2014): Hindutva ideologue and senior leader of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP), Arun Jaitley, is trailing with such big margin from Amritsar Lok Sabha seat that he won’t be able to cover it. Jaitley is set to lose this election.

As per election live counting data and trends released by Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab’s office Arun Jailtley was trailing to Captain Amritder Singh of the Congress party with 60547 votes.

According to last update by CEO’s office before the writing of this news Amrinder Singh had secured 278743 votes, while Arun Jaitley was at 218196.

It’s a major set-back for the ruling Badal-BJP combine in Punjab. At India level BJP is set to secure clear majority on it’s own where had BJP led NDA is set to secure three hundred mark.
