NewDelhi: The Delhi unit of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced Manjinder Singh Sirsa a SAD (Badal) leader from New Delhi as its candidate for the Delhi by election from Rajouri garden seat here today, his nomination papers with the Rampura SDM Amit Kumar. His wife Satwinder Kaur Sirsa filed papers as his covering candidate.
The Delhi assembly seat of Rajouri Garden fell vacant when the Aam Adami Party (AAP) MLA from this constituency candidate Journalist Jarnail Singh resigned last month (February) in order to contest the Punjab state assembly election from Lambi constituency against former Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal.
Manjinder Singh Sirsa while speaking with the media reportedly said that during the last three years of rule in Delhi the Aam Admi Party has played havoc with the lives of the people of Delhi. He said that not a single promise has been fulfilled by Arvind Kejriwal and his team.
Moreover he would be contesting against Aam Adami Party (AAP) candidate Harjit Singh and Congress candidate from the Rajouri Garden constituency Meenakshi Chandola.
