KP, Pakistan: Baldev Kumar, a district-level Hindu leader of Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, has been arrested in connection with Sikh legislator Soran Singh’s assassination.Baldev Kumar is a Swat district councillor and minority leader of Tehreek-e-Insaf.

Meanwhile, the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan said in a statement that a sharpshooter of its special task force ‘successfully’ targeted Soran Singh in his home district, Buner, on Friday.
Imran Khan has asked his government to set up an inquiry commission to probe the assassination.
Soran Singh, special assistant to the chief minister of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on minorities affairs and a provincial assembly member, was killed late Friday in a targeted attack near Pir Baba in Buner district.
