Barnala: Hindutva fountainhead Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) has revived it’s controversial wing called ‘Rashtriya Sikh Sangat’. ‘Rashtriya Sikh Sangat’ state head Gurbachan Singh Mokha recently met former Member Parliament Advocate Rajdev Singh Khasla at his Barnala based residence.
Gurbachan Singh Mokha claimed that it was a routine meeting, however the revival of the controversial body after a gap of ten years and it’s ‘intense’ activity in Punjab is certainly not a ‘routine matter’.
It may be recalled that in 2004 the Rashtriya Sikh Sangat was declared an ‘anti-Sikh body’ by the then Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Joginder Singh Vedanti and other four Sikh Jathedars. The 2004 declaration had put a stop on activities of Rashtriya Sikh Sangat but with the rise of Hindutva forces after 2014 Lok Sabha elections in India, the Sangh (RSS) has revived the Rashtriya Sikh Sangat.
