Presenting Punjab’s viewpoint on social, economy, education, agriculture, self-rule, human rights and religio-political aspects before G20 nations, Dal Khalsa organized a Punjab Summit (P-20) coinciding with on-going G20 summit held under India’s presidency in Amritsar.
It was a unique exercise by the Sikh group, where 20 speakers representing 20 organisations from different fields presented their views on specific topics. They were all unanimous in their views that there would be no peace without rights & justice and no progress without peace. It was a direct reference to the deplorable situation on human rights and justice in Punjab and India. Speaker after speaker spoke of the painful and tortous journey of Sikhs in independent India since 1947.
Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema, president of Dal Khalsa told the delegates that their views will be forwarded to G20 embassies in Delhi.
