New Delhi, India (March 23, 2014): Thousands of Sikh devotees took part in Kar Sewa of Sarovar at historical Gurdwara Bangla Sahib in Delhi on March 23. Bhai Ranjit Singh, the head granthi of Gurdwara Bangla Sahib performed Ardaas to mark the inauguration of ‘Kar Sewa’ with the blessings of Almighty Waheguru by the ‘Panj Piaras’.
The enthusiasm for ‘Kar Sewa’ was so huge that the sangat jostled to reach near sacred Sarovar to mark their presence in the historic event.
DSGMC president Manjit Singh GK presented ‘Siropa’ (Robe of honour) to Baba Bachan Singh. He sought Sangat’s apology as huge arrangments made by DSGMC could not accommodate the flow of Sikhs who were more than eager to get Guru Sahib’s blessings.
Gurdwara Bangla Sahib is one of Delhi’s historic and most visited Gurdwaras in Delhi. The historic Gurdwara is related to the eighth Sikh Guru, Guru Harkrishan Sahib ji.
DSGMC president announced said that a water treatment plant is being installed to keep the water clean and pure. He said that the experience of installing a treatment plant in the Sarvoar to Harmandir Sahib, Amritsar has been successful and the DSGMC had taken the decision to install one seeing its usefulness.
