Ludhiana, Punjab (June 21, 2014): It is learnt that Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Mann) has decided to contest the forthcoming Punjab Assembly by-polls. Information in this regards was released by Mann Dal’s Secretary General Jaswant Singh Mann after a meeting of the Sangrur and Barnala district units of the party on June 19.
It is notable that by-elections on three assembly seats is expected to by held in later half of 2014. By-elections to the Talwandi Sabo and Patiala Assembly seats were already due, while Arvind Khanna Congress party MLA from Dhuri had also sent his resignation to the Speaker.
As per information Mann Dal has decided to field its candidates in all three constituencies.
It is notable that Sikh preacher Baba Baljeet Singh Daduwal has also expressed his willingness to content assembly election from Talwandi Sabo constituency.
