Srinagar: While condemning Delhi Police of unnecessarily harassing the innocent Kashmiri youth the Hurriyat Conference on Thursday expressed its deep concern over the arrests of three youth including Yawer Muzafar, Waseem Dar and Danish Ahmad Dar by Delhi police and said that Delhi police has a track record of detaining Kashmiri youth on fictitious grounds. Even pedestrians  are arrested and convicted in fake cases. No place in India is safe for Kashmiri youth, said Huriyat while adding that hundreds of youth were arrested and detained for long periods.

“It is irony that after snail’s pace court proceedings and serving long term in detention centres, they are  declared innocent”, reads a statement by Hurriyat Conference led by pro-freedom Kashmiri leader SAS Geelani.

Furthermore the Hurriyat Conference reportedly said that we are worried and keeping a close vigil in this case and we will resist the move if the accused are not shifted to valley, they stated.
